The Name THE TAMS, was given to us by a former member of the group, Willie James Rutherford, now deceased, who bought the first outfits for the group, red sweaters and blue tams(o'shanters) and that became our trademark. Since then it has become synonymous with beach music, and all that is shag.

THE TAMS , have been performing for 38 years, recorded 10 albums and are still playing to sell out crowds around the world. he Tams have also been featured in Goldmine Magazine and in the Top Of The Pops in Europe.
